The past few months have been a huge growing experience for me in several ways. I'm not even sure where to start... While I was off-track working in California and living with my parents, I met some really cool people and gained some very strong friendships. I am so grateful that wherever the Lord puts me, (Arizona, Japan, California, Idaho) he blesses me with amazing friends. I will never take them for granted.
Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.
One of the hardest things for me to deal with is change. You would think after I've had so much of it, it would get easier - but it hasn't. My life is a constant change, and as I look back on the experiences I've had I could really ask for nothing better. Living in Tokyo taught me so much about other cultures, sacrificing friends and family and good food. I learned so much while I was there and strengthened my relationship with my parents that I would never take back for one second. My parents are my best friends, I love them too much.
It's now my second semester here at BYU-Idaho and of course, I'm loving it. Although leaving my parents and home was one of the hardest things I think I have ever done, living on my own has actually been one of the best things for me. It has allowed me to reflect on who I am as a person and who I need to become. I have relied more on the Lord than I ever have before. I have developed better routines for myself and have become more organized. I love it! College is such a great experience, I am learning so much aside from the books.
Most importantly, these past few months have strengthened my testimony beyond what I didn't even think could be strengthened any more! I know that Heavenly Father loves me and is watching out for me in everything I do. I have complete trust in him and I know that my relationship with him is the most important part of this life. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation and that I can see my friends and family after this life if I live righteously. I love the Book of Mormon and I know Pres. Monson is the inspired leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the gospel! I love my family! I love God! I say all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, my savior, Amen. :)
