I Hope They Call Me On A Mission!

So church today was one of the best yet this semester. We got a new bishopric. The bishop owns a dairy in Idaho Falls and promised us all ice cream, I'm so excited :) The first counselor was my American Foundations professor fall semester. I was overwhelmed with the spirit as each of them bore their testimonies in Sacrament meeting.

I went to mission prep for Sunday school today and it was awesome. I sat by this girl who is actually a RM. She taught me all about her expereinces and Preach My Gospel and how it applies to investigators. I wanted her to keep talking for hours, I was soaking it up! I've been seriously thinking about serving a mission the past few months, and have felt nothing but joy and reassurance! I'm almost positive if the right guy hasn't come along by age 21, a mission is where I'll be! If I could go tomorrow, I would. The Lord is my strength, and this gospel is what keeps me going. I love it so much, my testimony is bouncing off the walls.

At the beginning of this semester, I honestly had no true desire to read the scriptures. I read them out of duty, for my Book of Mormon class, or just because I was told to. I never wanted to read them. However; the past few weeks for me have been so spiritually uplifting and not for any specific reason either! Book of Mormon is my favorite class because my teacher references the scriptures through footnotes and helps me apply them to my life. I actually look forward to reading my scriptures now, and I have a real desire to read them! They make me happy and give me courage to be strong when times are rough, or even when times are great. I am so grateful for this dispensation and the prophets that lead The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints today. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and knows me as an individual. I hope and pray that I can remain faithful until the Lord comes again.
